Mini-Sessions 2012

Don’t let another summer pass without getting some special shots of your kids! I still have a few dates and times available for my mini-sessions this summer and fall. You can do just your children or the whole family. This is a great option for families with a limited budget or with little kids that won’t last longer than a half hour anyway!

10 digital files is normally $800 so you save $300 plus the $200 session fee by booking a mini-session! That’s half price a normal session 🙂

I have a limited number of dates and times available, so the remaining ones will be first come first serve.

Email me at karey@kareywood.ca for details!

PS. These were taken at the end of my mini-sessions this weekend of my daughter Lacey ♥

Jen - The Fall mini session $500 deal:

Would that work for a newborn/family photo session? Are the 10 photos editted & on CD for reproduction?

    Chelsey - Hi Karey

I have been helping a group of three medical students from the University of Alberta who are creating an educational documentary. The documentary is now being talked about in many different parts of Canada and even outside of Canada. The pressure is on for us to make the premier incredible.

The project got started because we felt there was a need for more exposure to “normal birth & early neonatal life” in medical studies. The BBT team also realized that we had very limited exposure to what their non physician colleagues do in the world of maternal care provision, so we’ve set out to create a documentary that can be used as an educational tool for our classmates and colleagues. So far our project will be added into the U of A medical curriculum but we’re working on getting in placed into health care curriculums across the country. We’ll also be releasing this film to the public in November 2012.

We’ve filmed interviews with a wide range of individuals including nurses, physicians, midwives, doulas, birthing families and health care students.

You can see our trailers for the project on our indiegogo page here and check out our website http://www.birthingbabies.ca

I was wondering if you would consider donating one of your amazing photographs to this project for our silent auction. Or a mini photo session? The auction will be taking place on November 23rd as part of the premier, 300 people will be attending. All funds raised will be supporting Association for Safe Alternatives in Childbirth (ASAC).

If you are unable to donate a photograph I was wondering if you would please help keep the momentum of our project going by sharing our links via email, facebook, twitter and word of mouth! Maybe one of your many artist friends would be willing to donate a piece of their art.

    Thank you so much!
    Chelsey & the BBT team.

PS. We are not specifically looking for birth art. Just beautiful art of all kinds!
