I’ve been wanting to update my website and blog for some time now. It’s been on my list of things to do and the design has been done for awhile, but I hadn’t had the time until today to get it online. Today I finally caught up on my editing and had the chance to work it out.

I felt like my old design lacked the fun, colorful and light personality I like to bring to my photography. I wanted it to be fresh and ‘me’. The logo is my initials in my handwriting, and the tag ‘design.photography.art.’ is telling of what is to come on my blog in the weeks to come.

You can expect to see some of my fine art that will soon be for sale, recent design work as well as my regular sneak peaks from my photography clients. You’ll also see some educational posts for those of you out there looking to improve your own photography and some things that inspire me on a daily basis. Keep an eye out for the main kareywood.ca site to be revamped in the next few days as well.

Last week I had the chance to photograph twins for the second time, and I have to admit I was pretty nervous! Twins are hard at the best of times, but these little sweeties were in between the newborn, sleepy phase and the giggly, happy phase that I usually like to photograph babies. It ended up being a great session and I just love how big sis is snuggling one of her baby sisters. Such a sweet moment

We did our version of the gingerbread house the other day. Not quite up to my dad’s builder standards I’m sure, but definitely full of character! I suppose you can’t expect perfection when you give control over to two toddlers! Happy Holidays everyone.

My little Lacey-girl as we call her is growing up. She’s getting so big and this week has started walking. I took this photo of her a week or two ago, but thought I’d upload it today since I haven’t posted in awhile. This is my attempt at a recreation of the one I did of Sydney… I think I’ll have to have a few more attempts at this one because I still like the Sydney one better.
