A few weeks ago I met Finn and his mom and dad at this cute little park in Edmonton. It was a crazy hot day for me being 8 months pregnant, but it was worth it for these shots of Finn. Seriously, how cute is he!? And I loved the graffiti wall on one of the sheds… it was perfect for this funky family!

Last week I went over to this gorgeous family’s house for a lifestyle session. It was a bit of a different approach for me because they have a perfect little newborn babe… it was hard to not just focus on her! In the end I love how this turned out… very real life, not posed at all, just a peek into their life at this wonderful time. They were so easy going, and had so much love for their newborn baby girl and sweet little boy. I’ve never had such a hard time getting a toddler crack me a smile… little George was very serious, but super smart. He knew exactly what I was asking every time and did a great job of helping get little sis dressed, showed me his room, and posed like a pro. Here are a few from our time together.

We took a little getaway to Mazatlan last week. It was wonderful to get a bit of sun! Here are a few of our trip.

I spent the day with my big brother and his family yesterday and took a few photos in the process. This little guy makes me smile every time, I just love him so much. He has one of those contagious smiles that gets me every time. He’s my little love-bug and you see his best friend in these photos, Lamb-chop. Love you guys!

What do you do if you’re home on holiday Monday and are a little bored? Seems like setting up studio and taking photos of the kids is a good idea;) I haven’t managed to get many good shots of Lacey so that was the goal today. She’s so much harder than Gabe. He flashes me those puppy dog eyes and the camera just loves it. Here’s a few…

Ok, so he’s not a baby anymore. He’s going through a little bit of a talking back and arguing with me phase that really irritates me, but I look at a photo like this and my heart just melts. I guess he’ll always be my little baby, even if he is growing up.

On Monday night I had a session with 7 adorable kids from 3 different families. I’m never sure how a session with that many kids together is going to go, because when they’re little like that it’s always unpredictable. We took our time and they did great. Here are a few from the session.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing the Hurleys. I’ve known Kelly since I was in grade 7, which is a VERY long time:) As I was editing these I couldn’t get over what a gorgeous family they are, both inside and out. Here’s a few from the session. My mom was here for 10 days from Mexico. I haven’t seen her in a year and it was so nice to spend time with her. Spending that time with her made me realize how much I miss out on having her here. We drank copious amounts of coffee and wine, talked until way past our bedtimes, she baked cookies with my kids, and generally brought sunshine and joy to us for the week she was here.
